However, should you wish to arrive earlier or depart later please make prior arrangements as we will gladly try to accommodate your requests.

  • We welcome children of all ages and socialised pets by prior arrangement.
  • We will also welcome you for a 1 night stay for those who are en-route to their destination.
  • We are able to provide separate beds in the same open plan cottage should friends be travelling with friends as this is a cost effective option.
  • Safe off street parking for trailer’s and caravans, with plug-in facilities for overnight.
  • 2 Cottages are wheel chair friendly with easy access from parking into the cottages.

Safe, secure, off street parking at your private entrance allows for easy access before you step inside your spacious 72sqm modern open-plan Karoo cottage comprising double volume reed ceilings, Karoo log fireplace, air conditioner, mozzie net, including all your "home from home" comforts.

Beds with hip-support, complete with beautiful percale linen, luxurious duvet, 100% cotton throws, electric blanket and your choice of bed size.

Tiled en-suite bathroom with either large shower or bath with ‘his and her" vanities, including bath sheets, bathrobes, hair dryer, shaver point, wall heater, trigger shower and natural bathroom amenities.

Large kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you would need to "cook up a storm" including coffee plunger, mocha pot and snack-which maker. Bed and Breakfast supplies, fresh milk and juice from Gay’s dairy and "real coffee" are replenished daily including servicing of your cottage.

Lounge and dining areas are luxurious, yet homely, with attention to detail in all aspects, including flat screen TV with hospitality package including all sports channels and free WiFi.

Relax on your private stoep watching the ever changing shadows on the Swartberg Mountain as the moon rises or experience our magical star filled sky, whilst listening to your crackling fire in the boma and plung pool or in your private braai area, all fully equipped including firewood, blitz and kindling, which are replenished daily.

As the dawn awakens, listen for the call of owls and wake to the chatter of birds as the sun shows her face over the Robert Gordon Koppie, whilst enjoying your magnificent Karoo view, in all directions, like no other in the village.

Cottages have direct access to our natural indigenous gardens with nature paths that will lead you on a journey of exploration, whilst looking for Glacial Morains, magnificent birds, interesting insects and beautiful flora.

End your Karoo day lazing in our plunge pool whilst sipping a glass of vino, Whilst the sun sets over the Karoo plains.

Suggestions of what to bring with you:

  • For children: Bicycles - safe riding from Karoo View cottages
  • Summertime: Swimming towels, sun block, sun hat and costumes
  • Cooler months: Hiking boots / good walking shoes, appropriate clothing – lovely walks from here
  • Winter months: Warm Jackets to keep off the chill from the natural “Karoo cooler”
  • For all: Bicycles and or cycling gear
  • Food and Refreshments

Some important information:

  • OK Grocer as well as various small shops, however many of these are not open on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
  • Fresh bread and vegetables are available at the OK on Tuesday and Friday.
  • Fresh bread available every day from Lazy Lizard.
  • Butcher is closed on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday all day. (The best Wors ever)
  • Bottle stores are open until 18h00, Weekdays and Saturday, but are closed on Sunday.
  • Fresh veggies available at the Saturday Market – early morning.
However you are welcome to pre-order a Karoo braai basket prior to arrival at an additional cost, and then you are welcome to pick fresh herbs and veggies from our organic tunnel with our compliments.

What you do not need to bring with you:

  • Salt, pepper, spray n cook, serviettes, paper towels, swabs, T Towels and dishwashing liquid.
  • Braai grids, tongs, charcoal, wood and firelighters, as these are supplied.
  • Bed Linen, Towels, dressing gowns, hairdryer and hangers.
